From the moment I used my first computer (a Mac Plus), I've been fascinated with making technology more useful and accessible. It's my job, but it's also my hobby—tinkering and building.

My path to design took a winding route as the field exploded early in my career. I studied finance, broke into tech as a product manager, and like many early designers, taught myself design and code while helping stand up design practices at companies that didn't have them yet. The product brain and desire to be hands-on with code has never left how I work.

These days, I'm a Staff Designer at Ramp, leading design for Ramp Stack—an early-stage AI-native accounting product. I'm focused on product-market fit, establishing its visual language and interaction patterns, and managing and mentoring designers.

Before Ramp, I built inventory and accounting tools for businesses.

At Shopify, I led inventory products used by 2M+ merchants, including mobile tools now used by 60% of merchants managing stock. Then I joined GoodDay as its solo designer, staying in the same domain at a much earlier stage.

At GoodDay, I led products from concept through build and customer onboarding while also shipping code, supporting customers, and triaging bugs. The company grew from one customer to nearly 40 during my time there, and the pre-sales product I led enabled multi-million in merchant revenue.

Outside my day job, I'm constantly building. I launched StoryScanner—an AI-powered media screening app for parents—as my first ground-up SaaS. 800+ people have signed up, and it's now at $2K ARR. It's my sandbox for learning not just how to build with AI, but how to design AI tools for people who aren't technical. Those lessons come right back to the day job. Right now I probably have three Claude Code instances running across my computer. This is my hobby. It's fun.

What I really love is building tools that help people work better. The most meaningful work happens when you stop worrying about whose job it is and just build the thing.

Outside of work, I live just outside Dallas with my wife, our four kids, and a Bernedoodle with way too much energy. I smoke brisket, lift in my garage gym, and spend time with my church community.

If you're building something interesting—or thinking about the future of tools and how we work—I'd love to connect.
